Here it is Wednesday already! I almost let this week slip right past me! Here's the latest on that Nor'easter that everyone is squawking about. Much of the forecast area will escape the clutches of this 'storm' with little more than persistent cloud cover. However, some areas in the  high country and in the Eastern Panhandle will see a skiff of snow overnight into Thursday morning. Lows will be plenty cold enough with temps falling into the mid/upper 20s. Most of the moisture associated with this system will have left our forecast area by Thursday morning, leaving with mostly sunny skies to finish out the work week. High pressure (pictured) ridging will move in quick on the heels of this system to provide warmer temps and copious sunshine into the weekend, lasting at least into Sunday evening. Gradually improving temperatures will bring daytime highs into the 60s and 70s this weekend! Nights will still be chilly with lows falling into the 30s & 40 under mostly clear skies. Have a great second half of the week & thanks for reading!
