Forecast is breezy with increasing clouds this afternoon & evening as a cold front sweeps across the eastern US from southern Ontario to Texas. Gusts in the 20-30 MPH range are possible out ahead of the front, especially along our ridge tops in our northern counties later today. Scattered rain showers will spread eastward across the Mountain State tonight. Overnight temperatures falling into the low/mid 30s will likely trigger a changeover to sleet or even freezing rain/freezing drizzle in the wee hours Tuesday. Up to an inch of snow is possible in the high country above 3000 feet Tuesday morning. So watch for isolated slick spots when you head out Tuesday morning!

High pressure will build into the region behind the front Tuesday, keeping a dry & tranquil forecast through the rest of this week. Highs will top out in the upper 40s to low 50s each day under partly cloudy skies. Lows will sink into the upper 20s/low 30s at night.  We'll be watching brief slug of southern moisture trying to lift north & skirt our area later in the week. But it remains unimpressive at the moment. Will tell ya about any changes.
