Was a good swimmin' day today thanks to high pressure & southerly air
flow across the east! Temperatures only fall into the mid/upper 60s
overnight. Then Thursday, first day of summer will be another good
swimin' day. It'll get hot, muggy with the chance for a pop up
afternoon shower or two, highs in the low 90s. Cold front passing
Thursday night will keep the chance for isolated thunderstorms Friday,
especially across the eastern mtns. Lookin' mainly dry, sunny & less
humid in time for the weekend. Highs reach the low/mid 80s and lows
near 60 Saturday & Sunday. Tracking rain for Monday.

Today will be muggy and mainly cloudy with high temperatures reaching
the low 80s. Surface dew points reaching into the 50s and 60s ahead of
a cold front sweeping eastward from the Great Lakes will trigger an
afternoon/evening shower or storm today. Showers and storms are
expected to continue/refire overnight into Tuesday. Any storms could
produce occasional heavy downpours, hail and strong winds, especially
Tuesday afternoon. But high pressure quick on the heels of this cold
front will bring dry and slightly cooler conditions to the forecast
Wednesday, with highs only in the mid 70s. A more or less zonal flow
will make for a dry, mainly sunny end of week forecast with highs in
the low/mid 80s and lows near 60.

The Storm Prediction Center has included central and eastern West
Virginia in their slight risk for severe weather outlook for today!
This map depicts the probability of tornado development this
afternoon. Further east, a 10% chance has been predicted from the
eastern border of Jefferson County to the Atlantic Coast. Even if a
tornado does not develop this afternoon, severe thunderstorms are
expected to produce heavy downpours, large hail and cloud-to-ground
lightning. Things will heat up into the mid to upper 70s this
afternoon. Overnight lows will fall to near 50.

Showers and a few storms are still possible this evening and
overnight. Activity will diminish on Saturday to make for a partly
cloudy day with cooler temps reaching the upper 60s/low 70s during
